Call for aticles for Gwreiddiau Gwynedd Roots Autumn / Winter 2024

Dear Members,

We kindly remind you of the need for articles and content for Gwreiddiau Gwynedd Roots
- the Society's Journal. The 2024 Autumn / Winter edition will be published soon and we need general articles on general family history topics and more specifically on our Spotlight.

The Spotlght for the 2024 Autumn / Winter edition is on Y Fenai - The Strait. Collins’ sea chart seems to indicate empty lands on both banks of the Strait but what of the busy lives in the towns, villages and farms in those two counties? Let’s have some family stories of the shopkeepers and shipwrights; fishermen and farmers. Who found themselves called to account in the courts and cells in Beaumaris and Caernarfon? Gardeners or maids on estates? Academics, brewers or clerics? Medics, mechanics or merchants? A busy thoroughfare before and after building those famous bridges. Its ports saw many sail away seeking a better life.

Please send all articles as Word documents and all images in jpg format, ideally in as high a resolution as possible. Please send text and images separately and NOT as a PDF..
